Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help us advance our directional drilling systems to operate at temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components for our drilling equipment. The ideal candidate should have experience or coursework in heat transfer, mechanical systems, mechanical testing, and material science.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for directional drilling equipment
- Conduct research to identify materials and methods that can improve product performance in high-temperature environments
- Perform thermal and structural analysis using simulation software to ensure equipment can withstand high temperatures and pressures
- Develop and implement testing procedures for mechanical systems and components in high-temperature environments
- Analyze test data and develop reports to communicate findings to other team members and stakeholders
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Participate in the product development process from concept to launch
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in existing products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of heat transfer, mechanical systems, mechanical testing, and material science
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Experience with simulation software, such as ANSYS or COMSOL
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with product development processes from concept to launch is a plus
